If you didn’t already know, The Disciple is shown in the new Apple iPad advertisement on it’s iBooks page. Quite good free publicity, I think.

I have been a fan for many years. I’m finally completing my library (1,000+ still growing). As part of my library, I want to display photos of my favorite authors, preferably signed but not a requirement. How can I obtain a photo suitable for framing in a prominent spot for Mr Coonts photograph. Although my top favorite is JRR Tolkein, Mr Coonts ranks close with WEB Griffin, Dale Brown & Clive Cussler followed by many others such as James Lee Burke. Thank you for your time and consideration.

Been a big fan for many years.
Like many others, just wondering when will we see another saucer book?
As well as I believe it would make a fantastic movie. Anything happening on that front?

Howdy,
I was wondering if more of the Jake Grafton series and also Cannibal Queen will be available at Audible.com. I’m a OTR trucker and love your books. I own several on tape but alas tape decks are obsolete. MP3′s are the best way to listen. I get mine from Audible.
Thanks

I just read “Deep Black.” A fun read, just as I have found most of the Coonts books. BUT I must comment that Mr. Coonts has fallen into the same lazy linguistic trap that many other authors have: not bothering to research Russian names when they populate their novels. The name “Perovskaya” (the Russian defense minister) grated on me every time I saw it in print. It has a feminine ending, and would never apply to anyone other than a woman. The man’s name would be “Perovskii” (or “Perovskiy,” depending on which transliteration system you use. A small thing, even a non-existent thing for most readers, but huge for Russian-speakers, because it undermined credibility. And suspension of disbelief is crucial.
